TRUTH

1. Long time ago, a king had a dream. In the dream, he lost all his teeth. He then asked a dream-reader to disclose what would happen in the future. The dream-reader answered, “One tooth you drop means one relative you lose.”

“Bull shit, kick him out!” the king thundered with anger.

2. The king ordered another dream-reader to come. This one was smarter than the first. He delightedly and politely replied, “Your Majesty, you are very lucky! You have a longer life than any one in your family.” The king laughed and gave him a lot of money. ......

Good or Bad

1.    Many years ago, there were two brothers; both of them were very famous philosophers.

2.    One day, they were invited to partake a party. Light and music filled the hall.  Everybody was enjoying the food and fellowship.  Some beautiful and sexy dancers were dancing in the middle of the hall.

3.    The younger brother was very angry because of those indecorous dressing and movement of the dancers.  Without a word, he turned his back to them and headed home.  The elder brother ate, drank and enjoyed everything.

4.    The next morning, the younger brother rushed in the study room of his brother and thundered.  Astonishingly, the elder brother was silent at first and then he responded and said politely.” You still remember the incident, do you?  There were sexy dancers last night, but right now in this study room, there weren’t.  Do you still have the dancers in this moment in you heart?

5.    The philosophy of the story: “Nothing is good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” (William Shakespeare)

THINK HARD

1.    One midnight, a student alone was working very hard in a Physics laboratory.  A professor was just passing by.

2.    “It’s very late at night now.  What are you working on? Asked the professor.
“I’m working on an experiment on Pendulum,” replied the student.
“What are you doing in the day time?”
“Doing the experiment!”
“The whole day?”
“Yes, professor!” The student answered earnestly and seemed to wait for praise from the professor.

3.    The professor thought for a while and said, “It’s not easy working for such a long period of time, nevertheless, I must ask you one more question. How and when do you have time to think?”

4.    Philosophy of the story: No matter how hard we work, sometimes success is still far away from us, it is because we lack one more important element which contribute to success – “think hard”.
So, remember: Work hard, think hard.

Make the Right Choice

There is a very interesting question, please tell me the answer.

1. One day, Richard comes across a fairy. The fairy puts forward an I.Q. question to challenge him.

2. “There are two guards each stands in front of one door. One is honest who guards “the Door of Heaven”, the other is a liar who guards “the Door of Hell”. You are allowed to ask each of them one question, by their answers, you should be able to make a right choice of going to Heaven.

3. Richard thinks hard for a while and replies, “Oh! this is an interesting question, but I can’t figure out the answer!”

4. Can you help Richard to solve the problem?

LOVE

1. A man was climbing up the Himalayas, for the sake of paying respect to a temple at the top of the mountain. High mountains, zigzag roads, bumpy surfaces and insufficient oxygen in the air made him sick. He wanted to reach the destination as soon as possible.

2. In the middle of the journey, he came across a skinny small young girl. She was carrying a fat boy on his back. She was panting. She was all wet through.

3. With sympathy and surprise, he asked the girl, “It’s very heavy for me to carry a bag going up the mountain. And you are carrying a boy on you back, are you tired?” Before the girl said a word, he continued, “You must be very tired for shouldering such a burden. Put the boy down for a while and take a rest!”

4. The girl shrugged and replied with a sunny smile, “What you are carrying is a bag, so you take it as a burden and you feel tired. What I am carrying is my brother. I love him and I feel happy.

5. Love is not a burden. It is joy, care, as well as a gift without asking for any return. The greatest power in the world is LOVE.

A Big Elephant and A Thin Rope

1. A father accompanied with a small child to visit a zoo. The small child stared at a gigantic elephant for a long time. He wondered and asked his father, “Father, look at the thin rope which tied the elephant.” “Yes, what’s the problem?”

2. “The elephant does not struggle at all. It’s only a thin rope. Is it strange?” the small child wondered. “Only a small pull, the big elephant can get herself free from the fetter of the rope.” He continued.

3. “Ah, ……! That’s because…” the father did not know why.

4. Here came the zoo keeper. He heard the child’s question and explained to them. “A few years ago, the elephant was small and we tied her with a rope. We controlled the area of her movement. She did struggle a lot at first, but she failed to get free. Now, she grows up to be a big elephant. Although, she becomes bigger and stronger, she struggles no more.”

5. The philosophy of the story:
“Unsuccessful Experince” will make one lose his confidence. It will hinder a learner to try or keep on trying to solve his/her problem just like the constraint of the elephant.
“Successful Experience” is vital in the process of learning. It encourages the leaner to proceed further and accept further challenges. And most of all enjoy the sense of achievement in learning.

WHO IS SILLIER ?

1. In a large company, there were many departments, and among them there were 2 department heads that claimed they each had a stupid attendant.

2. One day, both of them were chatting in the common room. They shared their joy and wisdom. They discussed and commented on the results of last night’s soccer matches.

3. Suddenly, Head A sighed, “Let me tell you a secret. I got a stupid attendant.” “How silly is he?” asked Head B. “Come to my office now, and let me show you how!” moaned Head A.

4. As soon as attendant a came in, Head A asked him going to the Immigration Department and checked the identity of his mother. “Go, check and confirm whether your mother is a female or not!” Head A demanded. “Yes sir, I’ll go and check it right now!” attendant A replied without any hesitation. The attendant dashed out in a smoke of air. Both heads laughed deadly.

5. “My attendant is even sillier than yours! He is the silliest animal you have never seen!” exclaimed Head B. “Let me ask him to come in and you will know the why!” Head B continued.

6. “Now you go home and check whether you are still at home or not!” Head B ordered. “Yes sir, I am going at once.” Answered attendant B. He lost is sign in a second. “You see, who is sillier?” giggled Head B.

7. Both of them burst out into laughter for a long time.

8. Moments later, attendant A and B met at the lobby near the lifts. They told each other what had happened a few minutes ago. Then, attendant A suggested, “Shall we go to a coffee shop and wait until 4:45pm, and then we will return to the office and tell the answers which they wanted to know.” “That’s a splendid idea! By the way, have you brought a magazine, newspaper or things like that?” Attendant B added. ……
